SPIRE|HILL Partners with SAME for the 2017 SBC
SPIRE|HILL is excited to shape the built environment and continues to learn about and pursue new opportunities with the federal government.
SPIRE|HILL will present and exhibit at the 2017 Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Small Business Conference (SBC) for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The event will be held from November 14th to 17th at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The SPIRE|HILL team will be represented by Mr. Michael Nosbisch, CCP, PSP, FAACE (Spire), Ms. Nour Bouhou, PhD (Spire), Mr. Edward Newman, PE, CCM, LEED AP (Hill), and Mr. Joseph Zukowski (Hill).
The conference is an opportunity for small businesses from across the country to learn about up-and-coming federal contracting opportunities as well as to meet federal agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the U.S. Department of State (DOS), and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The conference will also feature multiple educational sessions such as Keys to Overseas Success, Linking Small Business/Individuals with Partners, Preparing for Life After Being Small, and Minimizing Risk in High-Stakes Capital Projects.
Mr. Nosbisch and Ms. Bouhou will present on November 14th at 11:00 a.m. on Time and Cost Management Best Practices, which is tailored to the government buyer. This session will help attendees understand the criticality of getting agreement on pre-project planning, work sequences and activities to align all participants, while cutting project costs. Attendees will also learn how to avoid common pitfalls causing late delivery and cost overruns inherent to project execution, and the importance of proactively tracking cost and schedule changes throughout the project duration, to mitigate risks both during and after project execution.
The SAME SBC is a prime opportunity for small businesses across the nation to gain exposure to the government buyer, and help federal agencies with their capital projects. SPIRE|HILL is excited to shape the built environment and continues to learn about and pursue new opportunities with the federal government. Spire’s 8(a) status, coupled with the breadth of expertise of Hill, the ENR-rated #1 independent construction management firm in the United States, allows it to bring a unique perspective to each and every project.
